Tudi letos sva se s Tinco odpravila v zimski Chamonix. Letos le za dva tedna saj Ulina prisotnost ni obetala najlažje plezalne logistike. Zato so se nam prvi teden pridružili Mojca, Anja in Neli drugi teden pa Flisova družinica in Grega. Vse je bilo pripravljeno za plezannje le vreme ne. V vsem času vreme ni dovolilo obisk kake resne stene. Šele sedaj se zavedam kako dobre razmere in lepo vreme smo imeli leta 2008 v Alpah, ko sva si prvič šla da daljšo zimsko “odpravo” v Chamonix… A v Chamu ni bojazni, da bi bilo dolgčas, malo drajtulinga in plezanja slapov, v najhujših dnevih celo obisk umetne stene v Les Huches, predvsem pa veliko smučanja. Za to smo imeli odlično druščino iz štajerskega konca. Pri tem smo ob redkih razjasnitvah uspeli videti, da razmere v gorah nad Chamonixom niso tako dobre kot pretekla leta in, da bi bilo kar se plezanja tiče bolje ostati v domačih gorah.
Po dveh tednih so ostali odšli domov jaz pa sem se preselil v Verbier, eno od zibelk sodobnega freeride smučanja, da zapolnim denarno luknjo, ki je nastala ob našem bivanju v Chamonixu. In sem potem naslednjih osem dni vodil smučanje izven smučišč, prekinjeno z dvema dnevoma plezanja slapov nad Argentierom. Na začetku zimske sezone sem šel v strošek in si kupil težje in malo širše smuči, Dynastar Mythic Rider in razlika pri smučanju, sploh v pršiču je bila očitna. Tudi nekoliko neresen bi sicer izpadel ob klientih s širokimi plohi… Tereni v Verbieru so res idealni za smuko izven urejenih smučišč, edini problem je, da za to ve preveč ljudi in je hitro vse zvoženo. Dan po sneženju se da najti pršič le še na zadnji strani Mont Forta, zato ker tam večina smuča v prisotnosti gorskih vodnikov ali katerem od spustov kjer je na začetku potrebno nekaj hoje.

V glavnem sem smučal in plezal s tremi angleškimi fanti, ki so bili zelo dobri smučarji a ker so bili na dopustu smo si vseeno vzeli čas za kosilo in kako pijačo vmes. V tem času sem čisto po naključju na neki gondoli trčil v Matjaža, ki je bil na tečaju turne smuke v januarju. Že takrat sva veliko govorila o smuki izven smučišč in sedaj je hitro zapolnil moj prosti dan. Dobil je še pet prijateljev in posel je bil sklenjen.
Vsi udeleženci so bili izborni smučarji in dali smo si duška, smučali smo cel dan brez pavze. Ob prvi vožnji smo se spustili z najvišje točke smučišča 3330 metrov visokega Mont Forta po istoimenskem ledeniku na severni strani in prismučali nazaj na urejene proge 1700 višinskih metrov nižje. Bilo je odlično. Sončen dan in obilo odličnega pršiča, dovolj razlogov, da smo omenjeni spust opravili ta dan še dvakrat in s tem nabrali dobrih 5000 višinskih metrov pršiča. Bi šli še enkrat pa ni bilo dovolj časa…
Hm, desno sledi turnega smučarja s sulicami in levo frirajder s plohi ali obratno?
Po prihodu domov sem izpeljal še drugi letošnji tečaj turne smuke. Kakšen vikend! Pravljično vreme v lepo zasneženih gorah. Prvi dan smo smučali iz škrbine Vrh strmali nad planino Pecol, drugi dan pa z Brd nad Pokljuko. Razgled z vrha Brd je bil res neskončen in kar nismo mogli oditi s tako razgledne plaže proti dolini. Razmere so bile kljub nekoliko poznim uram začetka smučanja, zelo dobre in vriskajoč smo se potapljali v lepo smučljiv južni sneg. Kot vedno smo obdelali vse potrebne teme in se na dolgo pogovorili o minulih nesrečah. Prav te so bile verjetno vzrok, da je bilo na vrhovih precej manj ljudi kot običajno. Vseeno mislim, da je od tega vikenda dalje v Sloveniji (vsaj) sedem navdušenih turnih smučarjev več!
